Waiting on Wednesday #3: Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Sentinel (Covenant 5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This is the final book in an awesome series.

I have to say I'm amazed how Armentrout seems to mass produce books of an outstanding quality. In 2012 she published 9 books and novellas and in 2013 she is expected to publish another ten. I've loved pretty much anything she's put in to words and none of it seems rushed. She's a book readers dream! You never have to wait for the next book in a series for very long.

Title:
Sentinel
Serie:
Covenant 5
Release date:
 November 2nd, 2013

Goodreads synopsis:
As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.

And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time.

In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant Series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear… or the end of herself.

  3. This is the one series I haven't ventured into, I read some reviews, but I guess the Vampire Academy similarities scared me off. One day maybe, because they do sound amazing, and it is Jennifer L. Armentrout. :)

  4. I did the opposite and read Covenant first, it kept me off VA for a very long time. There definitely are similarities but while reading VA I couldn't believe I put it off for so long, they are so very different. They have a strong, I-do-it-my-way-and-don't-listen-to-anyone-else-kinda girl in the lead and a forbidden relationship, but that's pretty much where the similarities end.
