Synopsis:
She’s his boss. He doesn’t care. This office isn’t big enough for the two of them…

When Rory Clarke ends up hiring the guy she spent one steamy night with to be her administrative assistant, she's determined to keep things professional.

Lucas Blaine has other plans for her. He wants Rory, and it’s hard to resist his stunning blue eyes, chin dimple and the way he fills out a suit. Everywhere she looks, there he is, giving her a panty-melting smile and pulling her away for the most amazing (and satisfying) sex she’s ever had in her life.

What starts off as one sexual encounter turns into multiple trysts in and out of the office and the lines she’d tried to draw so carefully are blurring. But the closer they get, the more Rory realizes that there are things about Lucas she doesn't know, things he’s hiding from her. She’ll have to decide if she can surrender to her feelings or get out while she still can.

My Review:
While I generally prefer NA over YA this book have every issues for why I sometimes like YA better, but it's oh, so good!

I love a good book set in college or with protagonists in somewhere their twenties but sometimes I feel like authors writes about characters that would have fit in a YA setting, add a lot of smexy stuff and call it a NA. While I don't mind some hot scenes it often takes away from the story, or even worse, is the story. Sweet Surrendering is far from the worst I've read but it comes down to attraction and lust more times than not and I'd have liked to see more of an actual interaction between the two leads. But I think that's the only reservation I have about this book.

Chelsea's writing is absolutely awesome and I really didn't want to put the book down. Her descriptions of characters, settings and relations are spot on and you have a very vivid movie playing in your head while reading it. Isn't that the best kind of book? One you don't read but instead see in your head?

The hot scenes are just that, hot. They're friggin' scorching and they will melt your panties! The chemistry between Rory and Lucas is just irresistible, and they're so cute together.

I love how Chelsea manages to make her characters witty and sarcastic but never taking them over the edge to become annoying. They're just hilarious. And I love Sloan. Really, she's awesome! Can I have her? Please, say I can have her?! She can have her own room and I'll feed her and everything. Please? Who wouldn't want to have their own awesome designer and seamstress and lock her up Rapunzel-style?

Chelsea is one of the few authors who's books I can pick up without having read the blurb simply because it has her name on it. She's never disappointed before and she certainly didn't with Sweet Surrendering!

Lover of things random and ridiculous, Jane Austen/Charlotte and Emily Bronte Fangirl, red velvet cake enthusiast, obsessive tea drinker, vegetarian, former cheerleader and world’s worst video gamer. When not writing, she enjoys watching infomercials, singing in the car and tweeting (this one time, she was tweeted by Neil Gaiman). More often than not, these people turn out to be just as weird as she is.
