December Wrap-Up

Konstgjort Break

[Sorry, no fancy graphic this time]

Konstgjort Break

First of all, I am sooo sorry for going AWOL on you for so long. I wan't even planning on taking a Christmas break but the internet connection at the cabin was worse than I remembered and blogging just took to much time when every page took an eternity to load. And when I got back I worked, slept, worked and slept and tried to squeeze in a meal or two in between. There just wasn't any time for blogging, and even when I had an hour to spare I just didn't have the energy. Now I have 467 unread blog posts from blogs I follow, It was well above 200 when I got back to civilization but that still scared me off, so now I've decided to start clean and not read those but read what you publish from here on out insted. Sorry 'bout that, if you have anything that you want me to read, link it in the comments!

Again, I'm so sorry for not posting for the last couple of weeks, I'm so sorry for not replying to your comments, I'm so sorry for not writing any comments on your posts, I'm gonna be better. Promise.Konstgjort Break

THREE things that happened in December:

1. Christmas! Not that I got to spend a lot of time with the whole family since I had to go back home and work the night of Christmas day. I got a week with mum, two days with dad and my brother and I got to meet at least some of my cousins and seconds cousins.

2. Christmas food and candy happened! Christmas ham, smoked salmon, meatballs, all kinds of pickled herrings and a whole lot of other traditional food that lack English translations. And let's not forget the fudge, the toffees, the saffron buns, the gingerbread cookies and all other awesome things we gorge on during Christmas.

3. New years eve! Unlike most people I worked new years eve too, but I got to at least have dinner with my friends before and headed to work at 11 PM.

THREE things I'm looking forward to in January:

1. Picking up more hours at work! I could seriously use the extra cash, but then who couldn't?

2. Some snow? We can't seriously have a winter without snow, that's just unacceptable. Let it snow!

3. My best friend is coming back home. Home is in Lund, which I'm not entirely sure she classifies as "home" just yet but I do and she'll get there. Anyway, I haven't seen her since the week before Christmas and she's coming back sometime before February!

Okay, so I didn't actually finish any classics in December. I've read the first chapters of The Great Gatsby, which is at least something I guess.

Comments

  1. I applaud you for finding time to read all that and work the hours you do. I use to work the midnight shift and left me tell you, it wrecked my schedule. I coudln't get anything done!! I'll have to check out some of the books you read.

  2. Thanks! Working nights really drains you, especially when you work afternoons too and don't get enough sleep. I used to sleep every chance I got, even it it was just an hour it made wonders. Fortunately, I've had a week with a lighter schedule and time to recover.

Everything I read this month, except for 3:AM Kisses, was four stars or above so go check them out! :)
