Top Ten Tuesday #21: Books on my Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly Top Ten list hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Thursday: Rain. Friday: Snowstorm. Saturday: Sunny with an inch and a half of snow on the ground. Sunday: Rain and not a speck of white anywhere. That's what last week looked like. And what the rest of the winter in Lund will pretty much look like, the weather down here is just a tad indecisive if it wants it to be winter or not. No matter what, it's always cold, which makes for awesome reading weather. If I'm going to make my Goodreads Reading Challenge of 250 books this year I've got to read 51 books in the coming 22 days. I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail. I might make it to 220 if I try, and I'd say that 220 book in a year is pretty darn good.

But that's still 21 books in 22 days, so what am I going to read? This! This is what I'm excited to read during not only December but this winter. In addition to all the books I've got for review of course.

Already out there:

Patch Up (Patch Up #1) by Stephanie Witter - Abuse in any form abhors me but I love books that tackle the subject where the abused comes out stronger and gets her/his HEA. Crossing my fingers for this one!
Another Little Piece of My Heart  by Tracey Martin - A rock star romance? Yes, please!
Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth - Finally got it on the shelf, now I just need to pick it up!

Finding it (Losing it #3) by Cora Carmack - I loved the first book in the series, haven't read the second and hoping the third works as a stand alone. But it sounds sooo good!
Friends Without Benefits (Knitting in the City #2) by Penny Reid - This was recommended to me by someone I trust and it sounds right up my alley. I love myself a sarcastic protagonist!

To be Released:

Fallen Crest Public (Fallen Crest #3) by Tijan - Anything with Tijan's name on it is a no-brainer. I just HAVE to have it. The Fallen Crest series is without a doubt some of her best work and I've already got it pre-ordered.
Shaken not Stirred (Mixology #1) by Alyssa Rose Ivy - I LOVED her Crescent Chronicles series and can't wait to out her new contemporary series!
Solace ( Empire of Solace #1) by R. Jean Wilson - Look at this cover. HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THIS COVER?! Absolutely stunning! I loved R.J's debut novel Clemenine and I can't wait to curl up on the couch by the fire with her first dystopian/paranormal.

Taste of Torment (Deep in Your Veins #3) by Suzanne Wright - All the covers in this series is so darn ugly but the books are melt-your-panties-good. I've read every book she's ever published and I can't wait for this one!
Ignite me (Shatter me #3) by Tahere Mafi - Does this need an explanation?!

What are you going to read this winter? To you focus on books set during the winter or do you do like me and keep on going like you always do?

  2. Oooh fabulous list. I tend to try keep on going like I usually do, although I try to throw in a seasonal book every now and then. I hope you enjoy Allegiant! I'm reading Another Little Piece of My Heart soon!

  3. Allegiant is on my list too. I already started it, but I got bored and "stuck". I've read so many bad reviews, that I'm pretty hesitant to finish it. I'm going to try, but it seems that it's not as good as I thought it would be. :/

  7. I only know a bunch of these but Allegiant was okay. It wasn't as good as first two novels but it was still original and fun.
I read Shatter Me recently but didn't like it too much. I loved the ending though so I will read on.
    Happy reading!

  10. I'm so scared of starting Allegiant because so many have disliked and I kinda like living in la-la-land where everything ends like I want them to :/ Thanks :)
