Stacking the Shelves #21: Week 22

Stacking the Shelves is a feature run by Tynga’s Reviews . It's a weekly book haul and is a way to showcase what books you've obtained in the last week. Bought, borrowed or gifted, physical books or eBooks – it doesn't matter. Show ‘em off!
I was at a cousin's wedding last weekend (It was so, so beautiful!) and didn't have time to put together a StS, so this week you get two week worth of books. How I managed to keep it to just four I have no idea.

Purchased: Pucked by Helena Hunting - When I picked it up I had never heard of the author, never heard of the book and had no idea what it was about. Someone shared this ↓ quote and that was all I needed. I still haven't read the blurb. But it devoured the book, it is crazy good. “Buck is a mammoth, like a yeti. A huge perverted, hairy whore of a yeti. According to the sportscasters, Buck's an excellent hockey player. I'd agree, based on his yearly salary alone. No …

ARC Review: Since Drew by J. Nathan

Since Drew
by J. Nathan
Published by J. Nathan

I was provided a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This has in no way affected my opinion of the book or the contents of this review.
All Andi Parker has ever wanted, all she’s ever dreamed of, is a spot on the Olympic track team. But when an accident leaves her hospitalized with serious injuries and shattered dreams, she’s not only uncertain what her future holds but also completely alone.

Drew Slater is a wanted man. Professional football teams want him for his arm. Women want him for his irresistible good looks and charming personality. But the well-crafted disguise he wears, the one that helps him score on and off the field, hides secrets. Conceals lies. Threatens the happiness of everyone around him.

One chance encounter brings Andi and Drew together, changing their worlds in ways they never thought possible. Unfortunately, what they thought they knew about themselves—and each other—might just be the biggest lie …

Top Ten Tuesday #26: Books I Think Make Great Beach Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly Top Ten list hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Summer is coming! At least it's supposed to be, with what looks like to be the coldest May in 10 years we're pretty much still waiting for spring up here...

Anyhow, with summer comes hours spent at in the sand at the beach or just lounging on the lawn. And I hate it. I love the beach because WATER. I'm pretty sure I was a fish in another life. But just laying there, frying in the sun is horrendous. I can't stand it, which is why I'm usually pale as sheet year round. The only way I'll survive the torture is if I can bring a book. Then I might actually get some form of a tan.

I love reading something light and easy when I'm on the beach. I'm not really in to the whole crying my eyes out in public thing and getting hot and bothered in a bikini doesn't sound all that appealing. So light and easy it is.

Here's what I'll definitely bring to the beach this summer:

I introduced QuickReviews for any book I didn't immediately review (because I have the memory of a goldfish), emotionally can't write a review for or for any other reason have no more than a sentence or two to say about it.

Top Ten Tuesday #25: Books I Really Want To Read But Don't Own Yet

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly Top Ten list hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
I had already written this one to be published back in August, I think, when this was actually the topic of the week, but life got in the way and I couldn't relaunch the blog until now it's just been sitting there. So since this is a freebie week with a topic of out choosing, I am choosing to brick this one back!

Book I really want to read but don't own yet. This should be easy, right? Nope. Not even a little bit. I have a HUGE TBR, and I know I'm never going to read them all. But to narrow it down to just ten? Gaaah, damn near impossible. but here goes, my top ten books that has been released and that I really want to read but don't own yet:

What's on your "Books I'll buy as soon as I get my next pay check"-list?
